Navigator is a four-panel vinyl artwork created for Exzakt, presented as a complete set of four previously uncirculated 12-inch white label records. Conceived as a single panoramic composition, the work draws inspiration from the visual legacy of Monotone Music and the aesthetic language that has defined the label over the years.

The imagery explores the perpetual balance between opposing forces: darkness and light, the sun and the moon, creation and dissolution. At its center is the symbolic presence of the Black Sun, an apocalyptic motif representing transformation through collapse rather than simple destruction. Rather than depicting an ending, Navigator presents apocalypse as a point of navigation—a passage through cycles of death, rebirth, and evolution.

Designed to unfold across four vinyl sleeves, the composition rewards viewing both as individual works and as a unified image. Like the music it accompanies, the artwork embraces themes of cosmic duality, hidden symbolism, and the search for direction amid chaos. It serves as both a tribute to the visual history of Monotone Music and a contemporary interpretation of the philosophical ideas that have long accompanied electro music’s underground culture.
